This research applies the discrete firefly algorithm to optimize the 3D redundancy allocation problem, the 3D redundancy allocation can optimize the space utility of a container and optimize the reliability of components connected in parallel or in series. In real world, it can be applied to the design components layout and optimize its reliability and interconnection.
